Jeremy Laughlin

Algorithms & Software Developer

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, I develop software and algorithms to solve Sensor Fusion problems at Lockheed Martin.
If that experience would help create value at your company, I’m always open to talk about opportunities to solve interesting problems.

About Me

Electrical Engineer by training and Software Engineer by profession, I thrive on solving complex problems that challenge what we can expect from technology.

For my professional career I’ve spent the last decade developing advanced Sensor Fusion software that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in machine perception. I’m fascinated by the art and science of making computers interpret the world as we do—or perhaps even better.

When I’m not at work in algorithm design or system optimization, you’ll find me training for the next race, finding interesting things to photograph, or tinkering with (breaking) my computer. This blend of technical rigor and creative exploration fuels my passion for innovation and continuous learning.

Here's a few technical things I've been working on recently:
  • Sensor Fusion
  • Data Analysis
  • C/C++
  • Kubernetes
  • Hugo

Experience

Staff Software Engineer - Lockheed Martin
2020 - present
Designed data association algorithms for the F-35’s multi-sensor systems to boost pilots’ situational awareness, analyzed flight test data to troubleshoot pilot-reported issues, provided technical oversight to software developers, collaborated with senior technical staff to proactively resolve challenges, and developed unified software for diverse embedded platforms within an Agile, continuous integration framework.
Senior Systems Engineer - Raytheon Technologies
2015 - 2020
Engineered advanced signal processing algorithms for embedded systems—focusing on electro-optical sensor estimation and multi-sensor data fusion for ground based missile defense programs—while analyzing system performance issues, integrating research prototypes into tactical software, collaborating across teams, mentoring new members, and leading as ScrumMaster in Agile environments.
Test Engineer Intern - National Instruments
Summer 2014
Enhanced PXIe Chassis test sequences to minimize operator-induced false failures and localized testing procedures for the team in Penang, Malaysia.
